Whether he had good reason for that or not I don't know, but he wasn't going down to the bench to manage the reserve side.

No wonder he was pissed off - he clearly doesn't need our help with that.
As for O'Neill trying to keep his side focussed on the battle for fifth with all this attention on his captain's future, maybe he should give Rafa a call back and ask how he managed to win the Champion's League in 2005...
