DIC is a subsidary of Dubai Holdings.

The problem is DIC are an investment arm and cant really justify spending near on a billion pound without some sort of short term return whereas Dubai Holdings are higher up the food chain so to speak and can therefore take a long term view on buying Liverpool.

Any newspaper reports of the Sheikh buying Liverpool on his own are wrong as no purchase of the club will be done without Dubai Holdings.

Forget how the Sheikh personally runs Godolphin as that will not be the case with Liverpool. Thats not to say we wont be able to go for the top players but we wont go on a Chelsea like spending spree.
