Re: How about Elano?
Sven Goran Eriksson hopes Manchester City's season is not judged on their capitulation against Fulham amid fresh doubts about the Swede's future.
City have endured a frustrating second half of the campaign which has prompted questions to be raised about Eriksson's future in the job. The Swede only took on the role last summer, but owner Thaksin Shinawatra recently admitted he would review Eriksson's position at the end of the season.
Shinawatra is unhappy at how City have fallen out of contention for European football in recent months and met with the manager at the weekend.
Following the 3-2 defeat at home to Fulham, in which City threw away a two-goal lead, Sky Sports News has learned that the two men had a frank exchange of views.
Sky Sports News also understands that issues are 'coming to a head' regarding the former England coach's future at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Lesson for future
However, Eriksson feels it would be unjust to judge City's campaign on the basis of conceding three goals in the final 20 minutes against relegation-threatened Fulham.
"What did we expect from this team before the season started?" Eriksson told the club's official website. "We are not a side that is fighting for the Champions League yet, because if you are you don't give away three points like we did against Fulham on Saturday. "You can't judge the season on the last 20 minutes of Saturday, I'm very disappointed with what happened and I hope it's a lesson to everyone for the future."
City also released a statement which read: "Sven Goran Eriksson is attending a football foundation event in London tonight on behalf of the club and he will be at Carrington tomorrow morning to take training as normal."Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed that he has no plans to leave the club."

Not exactly conclusive that. Sky Claim to understand a lot of thing but the fact they employ Richard Keys tells me that they are fucking clueless.
