Rafa has made mistakes of that there is no denying. I think its been widely posted that Rafa should have signed Alves when he had the chance instead of Pennant and i think it was Kuyt.

The problem is and Rafa obviously sees it that way as well is injuries and putting all your eggs in one basket.

A fine example is the situation we are currently in. Go back to the start of the season we are celebrating the signing of Torres and at the start of September he goes and gets a long term injury. We would have been royally fucked this season as it would have been too late to get anyone else in and we wouldnt have had the cash to do anyways.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but i can fully understand Rafa not been willing to take that risk.
