Pennant has scored 2 goals in 13 starts in the league this season. Benayoun has 3 in 14 starts, Babel has 4 in 13 starts. Kuyt has 3 in 22 starts, and he's a striker. Those players have all made mant more substitute appearances than Pennant as well. Perhaps we should also replace all those players with this mythical winger who scores 20 goals a season (I'm sure a lot of our fans have convinced themselves we're going to find ourselves a Christiano Ronaldo this summer. Well, we're not.)

Anyway, I hope Pennant stays and proves a lot of people wrong. He can be as valuable a squad player for us as Crouch next season.
