I'm not actually a big Xabi fan, as I think he's underperformed for a man of his talent in all but his first season here. But I think Lucas has had as many bad game's as he has good, and several time's he's looked well out of his depth.
He may well go on to be a bigger influence on the team than Xabi has managed to do be (after all, you don't win South American player of the year for nothing) but I can't see it happening anytime soon so i'd rather stick with Alonso for the time being.
