For me... the most peculiar thing is that Public Relations is my subject in Uni and every time Tom tries to spin PR, he doesn't use transparency, but he tries to give off this 'straight-shooting' persona which doesn't match his words.

He gives really borderline lies that have a bit of truth in them, when he doesn't need to, and really makes me wonder how much he is actually paying his PR people? He is getting ripped off if it's more than a tenner and a few cups of coffee.

I would never, ever, advise a client to approach ANYTHING the way that Tom Hicks has... It's almost like his people read a "PR 4 Dummiez" book or something.
