The clue is in the name: Liverpool Football Club. As a wool with no family connection to the city I am honoured to support the club and to always have enjoyed a friendly welcome when I go the game, but the club was founded for Liverpudlians and the majority of the matchgoing support should always be local. With the new stadium (if it's ever built) there should be plenty of room for more locals and more out of towners to get tickets, but the away tickets will always be limited and it would be a great pity if the majority of the away following was ever non-scouse.
