Re: Away Game Tickets.
Al, what would you do if you were on holiday in Rio, Madrid, Milan, Munich or Barcelona and got offered a ticket to go the match, would you turn it down because you think daytippers shouldn't be allowed to go? I went to a Boca-River Plate game and had to pay a tout in our hotel £45 for a ticket, not many Argentinians could afford that but I knew I had to go because of the whole experience of the game otherwise I would kick myself that I'd missed out.
The fact is we only have 44000 at Anfield so many people will miss out, IF we ever get a new stadium I may be able to get a season ticket and go regularly as I want to, I have to ring for the General Sale or beg for spares off people on here, I won't pay a tout 150 quid for a ticket in the Kop but I don't blame people for travelling from random places to watch us.
My brother annoys me, his mate is a partner in a firm of solicitors who have 4 season tickets but only his mate goes, leaving 3 spares, he always gets to go for nothing and goes to all the CL games because the partners are too busy to go. My brother sits there al game and never says a word, he just about claps when we score. He'd never queue up in the pissing rain for a ticket for Chelsea semi final never mind Bolton at home, he's never been to any pubs round the ground in his life and never been to an away game. His mates partners in the firm are not interested in the slightest in football but only use it as a plaything to entertain clients every now and again, they don't give a fuck about Liverpool but take 4 places up in the ground. They are local but you can't class them as more of a fan than someone who gets up at 6am every home game and travels miles to see us.
