I read a quote from Rafa not long ago, when he was talking about Pako's departure. I think it may have been the interview he did in Spain which was posted on here.
Anyway, he pretty much commented that since Pako left he's had to get a bit closer to the players and I think that's definitely a good thing. Rafa has a reputation of being very distant from the players, but as you say there, certain plays need to be handled differently.
If Rafa has altered his approach then that's brilliant for us, and I hope it's true.
