Re: The Bitters!?

It all comes down to identity really. Football could be seen as the modern day forum for tribalism. The football becames a tool to prove how good our city is. Some tits just take it way too far. Let me explain.

I am the archetypal plastic scouser. All my family are from Liverpool and i partly grew up in Crocky, but i am from Wigan. As a result i am overly and fiercly passionate of my scouse roots despite my George Formby accent (who incidently lived just over the road). All this being said, i have always been unable to hate the blues as much as i should because they are from Liverpool. They just dont seem to see it lke that. Id not been to a derby for a while and in Wigan the fans are roughly split 50/50 bewteen Liverpool and United fans (dont believe its a rugby town or a Latics town - its not, wiganers have always supported Liverpool or United), so i dont see many blues but the murderes shit surprsed me. Forgive my naiiveness but i didnt expect that from them and how any scouser can brag about reading the sun just confuses me.

They obviously dont know their history (or they sadly just dont care).

Being surrounded by the twats the united fans are for me the most horrible set of bastards to inhabit the football spectrum. The blues just disappoint me...and make me laugh!
