So what makes Ronaldo a striker but Rooney playing on the left, surely the system you're talking about (and the one he was using in the CL alot the past few seasons) wold have Ronaldo and Rooney both as strikers or both as wide players depending on how you want to label it. Eboue, Giggs etc play out of position because of inuries mainly (Giggs more because he's losing his pace and impact outwide) Arsenal's team is woefully unbalanced in midfield so they have little choice but to switch players around.

And if you want to buy attacking players buy players that fit the position rather than trying to shoehorn them into other positions because they have a sparkly name.

Nasri is best as a number 10, we have Gerrard, why pay big money for someone who isn't going to play in his best position?
