Re: Thailand trip, need advice

i was over there for 6 weeks before christmas

i found koh samui one of the best sports

if you have over a week to island hop, you dont have as many options as you`d think , but thats not too bad, koh Phangnan is only 15km from Samui, thats where the full moon party is, stay there for 3 days, it really doesnt have an awful lot besides the full moon, and constant showing of friends episodes in every bar and restaurant, Murphys, the "irish bar" is good there, its as unirish as they coem, but actuallyu a nice bar

now, if you can swim, id suggest you get yourself a padi dive licensce while you`re there, theres a tiny island called Koh tao, not too far from Samui, 3 day license courses can be arranged from loads of places in samui, seriously, its worth it, loads of coral, its brilliant

the Big Buddha is nothing special, just a big statue with fairy lights

oh, and if you have a few bob, go to a place called DINING ON THE ROCKS, its very expensive, but its on the michelin star list, its awaiting a star i belive

here`s a virtual tour of the place Dining on the Rocks

any more info you need, let me know
