Karma is a funny thing

mynameisjohn.jpgFrom the moment the final whistle went to end our CL hopes for the season at Stamford Bridge, I was adamant I was going to avoid the final at all costs. I wasn’t going to watch it, but reluctantly I would be hoping for a Chelsea win. Not because I have any less disdain for their team, but merely because I didn’t want the mancs getting any closer to our tally of five European Cups.

In the end I stayed away from it for 80 minutes, before curiosity got the better of me and I tuned in for the rest of the contest. Obviously I’m not happy about the outcome of the game, but if the mancs had to win it, I can’t think of a better way for it to happen. If I had to name the two players I detest more than any others at present, it’d be Terry and Drogba. So seeing what happened to the pair of them in Moscow makes the result a tiny bit easier to stomach.

Everyone knows what a twat Drogba is, he’s so obvious about it and the whole country hates him, probably even a decent number of Chelsea fans. Great player, absolute cunt. Time and again he pokes his nose in where it isn’t wanted, harrassing referees and moaning about any decision that goes against his team (and that’s without even mentioning the scandalous diving and feigning injury he subjects everyone to).

Usually, he gets away with it, but on the biggest stage of all his chickens finally came home to roost. He was harshly dealt with, as Vidic probably should have gone as well, but you know what, I’m not even arsed. I’m just glad to see that fucking gobshite get what he deserved in what is probably his last game in English football. A fitting end.

But it isn’t Drogba that prompted me into this rant. It’s ‘Big JT, England captain, no-nonsense good old fashioned British centre half, captain fantastic, inspirational and brave JT’ (© British press). This is how he is constantly portrayed by the media, and it seems that the rest of the country simply aren’t aware of how much of a snide, horrible, reprehensible, cowardly piece of filth he is.

It seems being England captain gets you a free pass to be as much of a twat as you like without having to face any repercussions. He’s worse than Drogba in many ways, he’s just a bit more sneaky and less obvious. Drogba’s antics generally get him a lot of shit from various pundits, but when do you ever see Terry being lambasted by press and pundits in the way Drogba is? Answer = Never.

Well the myth about ‘Big honest JT’ needs to be exposed. He’s scum, a fucking chav who’d be on the Jeremy Kyle show if he wasn’t a professional footballer. This is a man who mocked American tourists after 911. The man who it is alleged made a racist comment to Ledley King when he was sent off against Spurs a couple of years ago.

Graeme Poll was castigated for sending him off, but you look at that incident again and watch Drogba’s reaction. Drogba is always the first over to any incident (see Moscow sending off), yet he stood back and did nothing, as Spurs’ black players all went nuts. There was an England game the following week, and King, Jenas and Defoe all pulled out of the squad through ‘injury’. Could be a co-incidence of course, or it could be a huge cover up. Maybe one day we’ll find out.

But I don’t need to use unproven incidents to expose Mongo for the despicable snide that he is. As a Liverpool fan I’ve witnessed his antics on numerous occasions, as we’ve played Chelsea more than anyone else in recent years so we’ve got more experience of Mongo than any other set of fans.

If I wanted to highlight his snide behaviour and shithouse antics, I could point out him stamping on Torres as he lay on the floor in the CL semi 1st leg at Anfield. He got away with that, not just from a referee who didn’t see it, but from a media who did. Or I’d point to the potentially leg breaking cowardly late lunge he did on Garcia in the 2005 semi at the Bridge. Again, the referee let it go and Sky glossed over it.

There’s dozens of incidents I could bring up to expose England’s captain for the cheating cowardly thug that he is, but I think this one from the other night sums him up better than any other:

Notice the sly way he seems to spit at Tevez before he lists his arm up to wipe his nose on the sleeve. And you don’t have to be a lip reading expert to decipher him calling the United player a ‘facking Argie cant’, before he blows snot out of his nose onto Tevez’s neck. It was a despicable incident, and one which would have prompted moral outrage in all the papers and the likes of sky and setanta had it been the other way around.

Imagine had it been Tevez doing that to the England captain? The moral outrage about this dirty foreigner spitting at England’s finest and how spitting is a ‘foreign thing’. But once again, fuck all is said, as the media all focus on ‘Big JT’s heartbreak’ at blowing his team’s chance of a first European Cup. Well you know what, if there is one player in the world who deserves to have to live with that, it’s that big foreheaded fucking gimp.

He’s shit out of every penalty shoot out he’s ever been involved in, but this time he puts himself forward for the fifth kick? Why, because he suddenly grew a pair? No, he wanted the glory, he saw the headlines and he wanted it to be him that scored the winning kick. ‘Mr Chelsea scoring the winning penalty’ Instead he ended up blubbering like a schoolgirl, AGAIN.

Yes, ‘Big brave JT, no-nonsense tough English centre half and captain fantastic’, once again cried his eyes out in front of millions of people. That’s at least four occasions I’ve seen him doing that now. ‘Man up’ you big fucking tart!

Frank Lampard called him ‘a mans man’ after the game. Behave yourself Frank, he’s a fanny. Real men don’t cry in public (unless it’s tears of joy like when we won in Istanbul!).

Whenever I meet fans from other teams and they find out that I don’t support England, it’s always difficult explaining to them exactly why. Well as long as Mongo is wearing the armband, it’ll be a little bit easier getting my point across. If you want to support a team that has that chav scum as it’s captain, be my guest but don’t expect me to follow suit.

I’m far from happy about the mancs being European Champions, but the blow is definitely softened when I think about what that wanker must be going through. He doesn’t even have the European Championships to get this out of his system. He’ll be sat on a beach somewhere trying to get away from it all, but no matter where he goes that moment will stay with him, where he fell on his arse in front of the watching football world, and single handedly stopped Chelsea from winning the European Cup.

Enjoy your summer, Mongo!

Gotta agree with your comments about JT. England need a captain who can be looked up to. That is not JT, for the reasons you mention and more. He is racist, but his behavior is tolerated - by his teammates, by the Chelsea board and by the England board. And why do they media not reproach him for this - the Tevez example is so blatant. John Gaunt was having a go at him for blabbing on TalkSports today and the apologists for JT were numerous, including other TalkSports hosts. They all commented on the blabbing as a natural act for missing the penalty, but none of them talked about any of his other questionable behavior. The media needs to speak up - it SHOULD NOT CONDONE it which is what they are doing when they interview JT and not pick him up on things like the Tevez spit.

Could hardly agree more. His misdemeanours are always turned in his favour by the broadcaster/news channels. A two-footed lunge brushed off as ‘a passionate act’, a sly stamp simply ‘part of the English game’. Quite how the media potrait of Terry has risen to such a level I can’t comprehend; a man with a chequered off-pitch past and an odious on-pitch attitude.

The role of the footballer is primarily to play football, obviously. But for a player who is an England regular, holds aspirations of England captaincy and is already captain of his club, there’s a duty to act as a good role model to those lower down the football pyramid, and to young footballers across the country. ‘JT’ could hardly be further from the ideal.

It was a great sight on Wednesday, magnificent. I celebrated, well, not quite in the manner I would react to a U’s goal, but still, with a clenched fist and hearty, hearty smile. What goes around comes around.

Though unfortnately this is tempered to a degree by the media reaction. If anything it seems to have galvanised support for Terry. Wednesday was a small victory for those who see John Terry for what he is, but I can’t imagine the media lauding dying down any time soon.

    Nice work.

    Millsy, Cambridge United fan.

It’s refreshing to see that a fan of a team not in direct competition with Chelsea can see him for what he is. Most people seem to believe the media created “JT the Lionheart” bollocks. Had Chelsea been playing ANY other team in Europe the other night, I’d have celebrated too when he missed, but as it was I just sat there cursing him!

  • kieranl says:

Best blog i’ve read in a long time!!! I too was ’supporting’ the chelski no history plastic flag chavs in the final against manure but that thug missing the penalty has soffened the blow! JT epitomises a chavish culture of en ger land no surrender 1 world cup and 2 world wars behaviour, the media protrays him as JT the lionheart when in fact he is just a thug (the guy attended the premier of football factory for god sake). The media constantly ignores this behaviour (stamping, elbowing, spitting, bombardment of referees, racist behaviour) because he is englands captain fantastic so ir’s refreshing to hear others are of similar views. JT dry your eyes……..

  • Chelsea4life says:

You really are a bunch of mindless morons. I don’t think there is anyone in the EPL who puts as much effort into every game as JT. I’ve known him to be a bit petulant but no more than any other top player, especially Saint Stevie Gerrard who as a matter of fact I am a fan of. The racist talk is here say and complete rubbish. I expect you believe the stuff you read in the gutter press. ITS NOT MEANT TO BE BELIEVED. I’m not sure if you’re capable of rational argument but I would agree that JT needs to control himself with referees if he is to be considered as a great player and a permanent England captain. On saying that I am so glad we saved the British the embarrassment and potential tragedy there would have been in Moscow by beating you in the Semi Finals. Have a good Summer and stop worrying about other teams. You’ve got enough to worry about with your own.

  • Dave U says:

His effort is not in question, it’s his all round cuntery I took issue with. He could be the hardest working, most committed player in the world, but he’d still be a gigantic twat, so it renders your point meaningless.

  • Delaware Red says:

Couldn’t agree more. Although I would have loved him to score as United losing through Ronaldo’s miss would have been about the best result, if a best result is possible when one of these scum bags win OUR trophy, it pleased me good ol’ JT missed.

In addition to the points about his, to coin Dave U’s phrase, all round cuntery, I was reading the review of the season in the Times recently and one of their low points was England’s chavtain having to park his bentley in a disabled parking spot while having lunch with his friends at a pizza express.

Just as Bobby Moore would have done right? No wonder anyone with half a brain couldn’t give a shit about England when this tosser represents them.

  • Joe Singh says:

    Brilliant Article.

Sums up my feelings perfectly on the whole CL final.

It would have been nice if the Roles were reversed as well.

  • Chelsea4life says:

That’s not even an argument. JT is the most committed and courageous player in the league. He’s an example to all youngsters and an outstanding individual who is respected throughout the profession as last night showed. Your pathetic little arguments based totally on envy and the completely unconvincing video do nothing to change that.

  • Dave U says:

“He’s an example to all youngsters” - Yep, no wonder so many kids these days are evil little chav cunts.

“Outstanding individual” - You’re confusing ‘outstanding footballer’ with ‘outstanding person’. The two don’t always go hand in hand. It seems you may have a problem understanding that, so go and ask the nearest grown up, they might explain it to you and maybe draw you a diagram or two to make it simpler.

“Based on envy” - Envy of what? Seriously, what am I envious of? Why do people always throw this argument up any time someone criticises a player they like. I can dislike someone just because they are easily dislikable, it doesn’t mean I’m jealous or envious, it just means I don’t like the cunt.

  • nakedlunch says:

    Hey, Chelsea4life -

It is fact that JT is a racist little thug. Mind, so are an awful lot of Chelsea fans, anyway. I have been to a few games at Stamford Bridge over the past couple of years and what really stood out, more than the shit atmosphere, was the amount of fat, shaven headed thugs who kept deafening my ears with, “god save the queen” and general thicko xenophobic remarks. If you have ever been out in Croydon on a Friday night then this is the same kind of crowd you should except.
These are the kind of wankers who frequent Wembley time and time again and make me ashamed to be English when they start mouthing off at the away fans.
What is worse is that these fans give the rest of the country the impression that this is what Londoners are really like!

    B.

  • Mr Taggart says:

I am not a Liverpool fan. Far from it, But your article made my day. It is so true, JT is a despicable human being and to suggets that this man should be a role model is farcical.

The idiot Chav fan refuses to see the obvious. Anyone who is not blindned by loyalty can see JT spit at Tevez.

Is there any hue & cry from the media… of course not. He is England Captain, same thing happened when Alan Shearer tried to kick someone’s head off prior to the WC. Same as MU not getting reprimanded becasue of ‘lack of evidence’.

Primarily I want to thank you for lighting up my morning. The article really made me laugh (unlike the fucking ref at THOF and Babel’s clear dive in the SF)

  • chrissyt says:

Wholeheartedly agree with this blog. Being a supporter of neither team for the CL final I saw the fitting irony of Drogba’s petulence and thought I was the only one watching it live on telly to spot the grog spinning towards Tevez in real time as JT cleared his nasal passages on the back of the agentinians head.
Indeed if any blues fan is still clinging to the wreckage of the misguided notion that this reprehensible act never happened (see miguided bufoonery further up), get a copy of the game and have a look in glorious technicolour on your telly. If you still defend JT you are sadly misguided. If you dont do this and just defend him regardless you are not in possession of all the facts.
I find it difficult to stomach JT leading “my” england team, to the point that its difficult to watch them, hoping they do well, whilst hoping that at least one player falls flat on his arse.

  • masterofmuppets says:

I am not a Scouse fan, but I had to comment on this utterly brilliant blog. At last, someone going both barrells on Englands Finest (TM) Mr.John Terry.

The man is a thug and quite frankly is not fit to wear the England arm band. I’m all for guts, determination, passion and all the rest of it in football but JT is beyond that, and unfortuantely the Chelsea guy is right, he IS a role model for younger footballers because he’s a hero, a true leader, a modern, professional footballer who happens to be an arsehole with 3 brain cells and on £130k a week, and he, and the press wouldn’t let you see it any other way. Sadly for him, more and more people are beginning to realise that he’s an arsehole with 3 brain cells.

Alas, we can talk about him being a twat and a thug, but where will the change come from? Its a hard to see how England’s Lionheart will ever be toppled from his lofty heights in John Terry, ruler of the footballing professional world, although last Wednesday we had a fantastic insight in to how it really works in his little head…..

Ronaldo has missed, Drogba’s done a Drogba and actually been sent off for a change (about fucking time! Wherever he goes next, or if he stays, I hope refs give him all he deserves for his cheating. Anyway..) and you, captain fantastic, Mr.Chelsea have the chance to win Europe biggest club competition for your club. He wasn’t placed in 5th because of Drogba getting what he deserved, no, JT saw the headlines, the glory and the step up to true greatness. And y’know, fair enough, we’d all wanna do it if it was us at our club, with that chance to become talked about on the terraces for the rest of time, so its hard to criticise his want of becoming a true hero. But football is excellent sometimes and he slipped on his arse, hit the post and cried like the brave little boy he is….I N F R O N T O F T H E W H O L E W O R L D. That there, ladies and gents, is our national captain.

Chelski make me so angry, they completely epitimise what is wrong with football today - yobbish culture and over-payed morons parading on the pitch, diving, crying, cheating their way to success and praise. They’ve turned the game sour and JT, the ambassador for this shite team, is at the forefront. Don’t even get me started on Cole x2, Drogbollocks etc. The only one I have any admiration for is Essien. What an awesome footballer. Great player, wrong club.

Anyway, I really just wanted to thank you for making my day that little bit better and hopefully everyone will now come around to the same way of thinking.

Finally, footballs a funny game, but its even funnier when people, especially footballers, fall on their arse, in the rain.
